The two largest stock exchanges in the world - Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. and NYSE Group - entered into a strategic cooperative alliance on Feburary 1, 2007. The London Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. signed a cooperative agreement on February 23rd 2007 in an effort to increase their international presence through a variety of joint efforts, including cooperation in the operation and regulation of markets for growth companies and promotion of access by each other's member firms.
